Thanksgiving Sangria Recipe

Between the holiday season fast approaching and the launch of our newest collection, La Rose Nocturne, we’ve been obsessed with decadent flavors and gorgeous textures. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, here at Amaiò we’ve been dreaming of delicious dinners to indulge in, and the perfect dinner outfit to show off. Obviously, we can’t forget about the perfect Thanksgiving cocktail to complement the dinner table, as a festive cocktail is almost as important as the turkey or your dinnertime attire!

We're seriously getting into the giving spirit... so we found a heavenly sangria recipe that captures the rich essence of fall with all its complex flavors and rich tones. It’s easy to make and is sure to wow your guests!

To make this mouth watering sangria you’ll need:

3 cups pomegranate juice

5 (3") cinnamon sticks

1/2 teaspoon whole allspice

1 (4") piece peeled fresh ginger, thinly sliced (about 3/4 cup), divided

1 (750-ml) bottle of red wine

1 Bartlett pear, quartered lengthwise, thinly sliced crosswise

1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

1/2 cup spiced rum

1 (750-ml) bottle pear or apple sparkling cider

To prepare:

In a small saucepan, combine pomegranate juice, cinnamon, allspice, and one-third of ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cook 10 minutes, then remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.

Strain pomegranate mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, making sure to hold onto the cinnamon sticks. Add wine, pear, pomegranate seeds, rum, cinnamon sticks, and remaining ginger and stir to combine. Cover and chill at least 4 hours.

To drink:

Last but not least, it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor! This sweet drink is best served in a pitcher or punch bowl with ice and topped off with a splash of cider to add a lasting refreshing fizz. Sip while dressed in the luxurious Odette Maillot in popcorn tulle plum, the perfect complement to your decadent drink.

This festive fall sangria will be a hit at your Thanksgiving dinner! With the most perfect mix of fall flavors, this will become a staple at your holiday dinners from now on.
